About Women Of Worth
Cost should not be the reason an education stops.
Tuition, books, tools, transport, and fees can put a college programme or a skilled trade out of reach for people who are otherwise ready and willing to do the work. That barrier is the reason Women Of Worth exists.
Our mission is simple: provide grants and stipends that help individuals continue their education, and treat a trade certification with the same respect as a degree.

Our Founder
Rose Calvin
Founder, Women Of Worth
Rose Calvin is a mother of four and a grandmother of three who loves to sing and has spent her life looking for ways to help the people around her.
Women Of Worth grew out of that same instinct. Watching what education costs today, she wanted to create something practical — a way to put money directly behind someone's studies. She also holds a personal interest in causes such as Project Smile, which supports children born with cleft palates and other facial differences.

Students Pursuing Higher Education
Individuals enrolled in a college or university programme who are working toward a degree and maintaining strong academic standing.
Trade-School Students
Individuals training in a skilled trade, where a performance record from the programme reflects the work they are putting in.
Returning Students
Individuals continuing an education they had to pause, or picking up a new course of study to build toward something better.

Lowering the financial barrier
Tuition, books, tools, and fees add up quickly. Assistance toward those costs can be the difference between enrolling and waiting another year.
Helping students stay focused
When less energy goes toward covering costs, more of it can go toward coursework, training hours, and finishing what was started.
Valuing college and the trades equally
A degree and a trade certification are both real paths forward. Support is offered for either, on the same terms.

Support goes to motivated individuals who are already committed to their studies, as encouragement to keep moving toward a better future.

Applications are expected to be due in June of the applicable academic year. Final application dates will be confirmed by Women Of Worth before each application cycle.

What you'll need to apply.
Four things, stated plainly. Have them ready before you start your application.
A 250-word summary
Tell us the course of study or trade you want to pursue, and why you chose it. Roughly 250 words is all we ask for.
Proof of attendance or enrollment
Documentation from your school, college, or trade programme showing that you are attending or enrolled.
A 3.5 GPA or trade performance record
A grade point average of 3.5 for academic programmes, or an equivalent performance record from your trade school.
Apply within the cycle for your academic year
Applications should follow the deadline established for the applicable academic year.
